Specialist in Restorative Dentistry and Periodontics
After graduating with Honours from The University of Sheffield in 2013, Martin moved to London to begin the first 4 years of his postgraduate career as a Foundation Dentist and Dental Core Trainee, with posts in Restorative Dentistry at The Royal London Hospital and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at several hospitals in North West London. In addition to these hospital roles he also worked in several General Dental Practices.
In 2017 Martin gained a highly sought after position as a Specialty Registrar in Restorative Dentistry at The University Dental Hospital of Manchester. The culmination of this 5 year specialty training programme was his success in the Membership examination in Periodontics and the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Exam in Restorative Dentistry. Martin now holds a Consultant post at Royal Stoke University Hospital where he is primarily treating patients needing oral rehabilitation following head and neck cancer, congenital issues or trauma.
Academically Martin gained Membership of The Joint Dental Faculties of The Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2015, Membership in Periodontics of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2021 and Fellowship in Restorative Dentistry of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2022. He has taught on a wide range of theoretical and practical courses, is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has presented and published regionally, nationally and internationally.
Martin joined the team at Clinic 334 because of his training, interest and experience in Periodontology and Restorative Dentistry. He will provide consultations for patients with periodontal conditions including mucoginigival defects, will provide both surgical and non-surgical therapies and is happy to provide both comprehensive restorative care himself and to work alongside other clinicians. When he’s not working Martin loves travel and photography, often together.
